As a Founding Member of DJAM, I was charged with the task of creating a logo that would personify our Dallas Jazz Appreciation Month organization. Every April is Jazz Appreciation Month. The annual observance was initiated by the Smithsonian Jazz Institute as a way to showcase our unique American artform. DJAM is a consortium of jazz promoters, presenters and venues committed to highlighting Dallas' jazz scene.
